A series of 4 perfectly imperfect, large, yellow glazed French Provençal cassoulet bowls, sourced across the South of France earlier this year: 'cousins' somewhat of the green bowls we have in stock.
 
Rich warm yellow and ochre tones bring a cheerful warmth to these 19th century bowls, which were typically used to make the traditional cassoulet dish common in the region, but would also have found multiple other uses across the home.
 
In very good vintage condition - of course, bearing the areas of missing glaze as to be expected of items of this age.

This listing is for bowl 'C' which is the larger of the two ochre bowls. Rich warm tones and in excellent vintage condition.
 
C measures 40cm diameter at the top, is 17cm tall, and 23cm diameter at its base.
